Ik krijg deze vraag voor een lange inzet voor network engineers voor Thales Nederland.
Het gaat om langdurige inzet en ook eigenlijk om veelal lokaal on site inzet in Hengelo.
Het gaat om Defensie marine projecten, waarvan ik het F126 project herken als de opdracht voor de Duitse marine om de radarsystemen, communicatie-systemen en combat controlsystemen aan boord te leveren. En dat voor vier fregatten in een keer. Dat is een heel groot project.
En dat K130 system is dan blijkbaar het test systeem ter plekke in Hengelo voor het uiteindelijk kunnen uitleveren
Dat verklaart de lange duur van de inzet.
For our K130 / F126 project(s), we are urgently looking for 2 senior network experts (job level description: complex / senior) for a period of 12 to 18 months (with potential extension). The preference is 3 days on-site in Hengelo and 2 days remote, but no more remote than that, given that the K130 test system is located locally here and is not accessible remotely.
The first 2 months require full-time on-site training in Hengelo (unless the candidate is familiar with Thales).
Please note this is an indication/starting point. Desired competencies: desired is an expert with extensive experience in and knowledge of:
• Network techniques
o IPv4, switching, routing (static and dynamic), multicast and multicast routing, QoS
• Network Appliances
o Devices: Switches, Routers, Firewalls,
o Brands: Cisco
• Network Redundancy
o Redundancy with RSTP, HSRP, OSPF/BGP
• Linux OS Networking
o Linux network configuration, bridging, bonding, host-based firewall
• Test/Analysis Tools
o Wireshark, tcpdump
Therefore, the focus is on network knowledge, but with a broad application thereof: hardware, protocols, diagnostics, and operating system (Linux).
The expertise currently required lies on the network side, less so on the development/configuration side. This does not preclude the fact that people with Ansible and/or Python knowledge are a plus.
